Hi Maya- Had fun going over to your other blog to read about purple houses. A very colorful landscape that makes me smile. I saw a lot of colorful homes up in Maine and New Hampshire but those bright colors only seem to appear in places like Old Town Alexandria (Virginia) and not out in the burbs where I live. It would be tempting to paint my white house an outlandish color (teehee).

The flowers and trees are beautiful in violet but oh, what a wonderful shirt and then the house standing in such stunning violet shades ... this has been a amazing!

What a fun collection of "violet" you've gathered, Maya! The jacaranda makes me think of Brazil - such a pretty shot of one against the sky- and for some reason I just love the fruit vendor's purple shirt (very striking!)...

You have certainly come up with a beautiful variety of violets! Your photos are always wonderful, so exotic (to me) and rich. Love the church - they don't light them up like that here - and the purple house reminds me of New Orleans.
