Pebbles

Pebbles - a silk cotton scarf
Circular forms of different sizes stitched with running stitch. The random placement of the circular forms reminded me of pebbles scattered.
Colours used are browns, greys and a space dyed black and white.

Pebbles is now available for sale at Plantation House which has moved into a larger space on level 1 at the Leela Galleria, Bangalore.

I adore the way you produce such vibrant and exciting works using very simple forms and stitches. The understated colours rather than being dull actually allow the raw beauty of the materials shine through. I'm very impressed at the diversity you are able to achieve between your various works despite using a very limited range of forms. Congratulations. I always love looking at your blog.

I love your scattered pebbles! So many of us are inspired by pebbles and it's interesting to see how differently we all portray them in our art.

Marta thank you for your comment. I don't think anyone has described my work and style so eloquently.

Hello Robyn, yes, pebbles are very inspiring. Can't remember if you've done a post on pebbles on Art Propelled, I agree it would be great to see how different artists portray them or use them in their work.

The understated forms and earthy line made from the stitch are wonderful. Congratulations on this piece, and also on the other scarves I've seen recently on your blog.
